One Punch Man co-mangaka Yusuke Murata returns to the Spider-Man franchise for ‘Spider-Verse’ illustration
Mangaka Yusuke Murata isn’t just a normal mangaka, but also an officially-recognized Marvel artist. His manga work includes being the creator of Eye Shield 21, as well as working wioth co-mangaka, ONE, for One Punch Man. As for his Marvel work, he is best known for working on Spider-Man, namely making official illustrations and comic book covers. And now, he has returned to the Spider-Man franchise for the Oscar-winning Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse movie.
The illustration is for the Blu-ray/DVD home video release of the movie as an exclusive bonus. It features Miles Morales, Peter B. Parker, Gwen Stacy, Spider-Man Noir, Spider-Ham, and Peni Parker as they swing through New York City.
Murata worked on a cover for the Spider-Verse comic a few years ago, and it featured the Japanese tokusatsu Spider-Man fighting alongside all the other spideys from multiple dimensions. He also worked on an official Japanese poster for Spider-Man Homecoming, which even got an approval from Stan Lee himself!
