After the success of the Is It Wrong to Try to Pick Up Girls in a Dungeon?: Arrow of the Orion anime movie, the Danmachi franchise is getting a new TV anime season. And now, Warner Bros. has revealed a new visual for the anime. They also revealed that it will premiere on July 13, 2019 at 12:30 a.m. in Japan. And yes, Hestia and her blue string are also back!
Hideki Tachibana (Circlet Princes) will be the new director for the anime, replacing Yoshiki Yamakawa who directed the first season. However, J.C. Staff will once again be animating the series, with scriptwriter Hideki Shirane, character designer Shigeki Kimoto, sound director Jin Aketagawa, and composer Keiji Inai all returning as well.Meanwhile, much of the cast are returning from the first season. As for the OP theme song, Yuka Iguchi will once again be performing it, and its title is “HELLO to DREAM.”
The staff also announced that before the anime makes its TV premiere, they will hold a premiere screening of the second season’s first episode at the Anime Expo Event in the United States. The screening will happen on July 4, 2019.
