Fujita’s Wotakoi: Love is Hard for Otaku manga is getting its own live-action movie adaptation. And after months of teasing, the staff has finally revealed the four main cast members in costume as their respective characters. The four even emulated their poses from the manga’s first two volumes.
The cast includes:
- Mitsuki Takahata as Narumi
- Kento Yamazaki as Hirotaka
- Nanao as Hanako
- Takumi Saitou as Kabakura
The movie was originally slated for later this year, but it was delayed. However, the staff have confirmed that it will premiere in 2020 instead. Toho will be distributing the movie in Japan, while the live-action Gintama movie’s Yuuichi Fukuda is at the helm as its director.
The movie follows Narumi, an office worker who hides the fact that she is a fujoshi. When she transfers into her new job, she runs into her childhood friend, Hirotaka, who proudly displays that he is a gamer. She also finds out that her senior, Kabakura, likes anime, and her other senior, Hanako, is a well known cosplayer. The manga received a very successful TV anime adaptation last year.
