During the Hero Fes event last weekend, My Hero Academia mangaka, Kohei Horikoshi revealed more details for the upcoming My Hero Academia -Heroes: Rising- movie. There, the staff also revealed a brand new teaser trailer for it. As for Horikoshi, he said that this may well be the last movie in his franchise:
On stage, the mangaka said that “there might not be a third movie after this, probably”. He also explained that the second movie might act as a kind of finale for My Hero Academia because it uses the concepts he wanted to use in the manga’s final battle. Horikoshi also claimed that the next film will be even more “Plus Ultra” than the first one.
The Heroes Rising movie will premiere in December 20, 2019. It will have a completely original story, and Horikoshi himself is supervising the movie’s production. He will also be acting as character designer for the film as well.
So what do you guys think? Will this really be the final movie? If we ask Horikoshi, he wants it to be the last one. But will that be the case?
