Live-Action Wotakoi: Love is Hard for Otaku film releases new trailer and poster visual
Fujita’s Wotakoi: Love is Hard for Otaku is getting its own live-action movie. And now, the movie’s official Twitter Page has tweeted out a new trailer for the film! It teases the double lives of Narumi and Hirotaka. Narumi is a fujoshi, while Hirotaka is a gamer.

And not only that, but the official Twitter page also revealed the movie’s poster visual. It features It features Kento Yamazaki as Hirotaka and Mitsuki Takahata as Narumi.
The cast includes:
- Mitsuki Takahata as Narumi
- Kento Yamazaki as Hirotaka
- Nanao as Hanako
- Takumi Saitou as Kabakura
The movie was originally slated for later this year, but it was delayed. However, the staff have confirmed that it will premiere in 2020 instead. Toho will be distributing the movie in Japan, while the live-action Gintama movie’s Yuuichi Fukuda is at the helm as its director.
The movie follows Narumi, an office worker who hides the fact that she is a fujoshi. When she transfers into her new job, she runs into her childhood friend, Hirotaka, who proudly displays that he is a gamer. She also finds out that her senior, Kabakura, likes anime, and her other senior, Hanako, is a well known cosplayer. The manga received a very successful TV anime adaptation last year.
