The Pokemon Company has released a brand new trailer for their upcoming Pokemon Sword and Shield games. As expected, they revealed new Pokemon. However, it looks like the Galar region is taking a page out of Alola as it introduces new twists to old and beloved Pokemon. This includes a very classy Galar version of Weesing that is both a Poison and Psychic type, as well as edgier versions of Zigzagoon and Linoone who are now both Normal and Dark types. And now, there’s a new stage of evolution for them as well…
That’s right folks, Galarian Linoone can evolve into Obstagoon, which is also a Normal/Dark type Pokemon. They also introduced this version of the Pikachu clone called Morpeko, which can change to various forms. Aside from the new Pokemon, they also introduced new trainers as well, and they include Bede, Marnie, and Team Yell.
The games will also introduce a new feature called “Max Raid Battles” which can allow up to four people to join in in a Pokemon battle. It works similarly to Pokemon GO’s raid battles basically. Aside from that, they’re also introducing “Wild Areas,” which are open areas between cities for trainers to explore, and there will be wild Pokemon moving about. Pokemon Sword and Shield will be released for the Nintendo Switch globally on November 15.
