After 22 years, 7 regions, countless Pokemon battles, and countless frustrations, Ash Ketchum, also known as Satoshi in Japan, FINALLY WON A BIG ONE. In the finals of the Pokemon League Conference (Episode 139 of the Sun & Moon anime), Ash faced off with Lilie’s brother, Gladion. And after a face-off between their two Lycanrocs with two different forms, Ash finally pulled off a victory!

Ash made the Top 16 in Kanto, the Top 8 in Johto, Hoenn, and Unova, the Top 4 in Sinnoh, and finally, getting 2nd place in Kalos, coming very close. Yeah, that was a very FRUSTRATING episode, huh? But then again, all that waiting has made this victory all the more rewarding…

There are rumours in Japan that the Pokemon anime will be rebooted for the Sword and Shield games, and this is the reason why Ash finally won a big one. But then again, those are still rumours and nothing is concrete yet. But for now, Pokefans around the world are rejoicing Ash’s long-awaited victory. Yes folks, we waited 22 years for this one!
