The Penang Esports Festival 2019 will be happening this weekemd at the Setia SPICE Arena, Penang, Malaysia. It is set to be the “largest landmark gaming and esports event in Northern Malaysia”, and is bringing in some pretty big names in Esports.

The event itself will have a diverse line-up of the world’s biggest games, including PUBG Mobile, TEKKEN 7, Super Smash Bros. Ultimate, SOULCALIBUR VI (as part of the SOULCALIBUR VI Asia League), Dragon Ball FighterZ (as part of Dragon Ball FighterZ World Tour), Auto Chess as well as Pokemon Video and Trading Card Games. It also boasts a massive prize pool of over RM75,000.

Sozo also says that “Those who are not competitive gamers need not worry because PEF’s exhibition has much to offer. Try out some newly released games at the PlayStation booth; have a go on Drodo’s Auto Chess
mobile game; participate in some fun activities at the eGG Network booth to win some souvenirs; get a chance to try out Magnus Games Studio’s newest game – Re:Legend, which will be launched this late August; all of these and more for an exciting experience at PEF 2019!”.

And yes, there will also be some gaming industry talks! The guests who will be taking about how to break into the gaming industry and sharing their knowledge on other things gaming related include:

  • DC Gan, producer from Magnus Game Studios
