Ready your tissues, because the tragic musical manga by Naoshi Arakawa, Your Lie in April, is getting itself a live-action musical stage play. But that’s not all, because a renowned Broadway team will be producing it. Frank Wildhorn, an American composer who wrote sonmgs for legendary artistes like Whitney Houston and Natalie Cole, is scoring the music. They also released a teaser visual as well:
Yūta Koseki (top row left in image below) and Tatsunari Kimura (top row center) are double cast for the role of Kousei Arima. Meanwhile, Erika Ikuta (top row right) is playing the tragic heroine, Kaori Miyazono. Other cast members include Fuuka Yuzuki (bottom row left) as Tsubaki Suwabe, and finally, Kouki Mizuta (bottom row center) and Takuto Teranishi (bottom row right) as Ryouta Watari (double cast).
The play will be running in July 2020, over at the Brillia Hall in Tokyo. Expect the staff to reveal more details about the play in the days to come.
