Re:Zero is getting a new prequel OVA titled Re:ZERO -Starting Life in Another World- Frozen Bonds. And like many OVAs nowadays, they’re also releasing it in theatres across Japan. Now, the staff have released a new trailer, which itself reveals a few more details about the OVA itself.
As the video reveals, the anime will hit Japanese theatres starting November 8, 2019. It will serve as a prequel of sorts, telling us the story of how Emilia met Puck.
The staff also revealed that Nonoc is performing the anime’s new theme song, titled “uki no hate ni kimi no na o”. Meanwhile, fans will also get to see the OVA before its theatrical release on November 2. This is because they’re holding a special screening at Cinema Grand Sunshine in Ikebukuro. And fans have extra motivation, as Yusuke Kobayashi (Subaru Natsuki), Rie Takahashi (Emilia), and Yumi Uchiyama (Puck) are not just attending the event, but they’re also going to hold a talk show.
A second season for the mega-popular isekai anime has already been announced. However, there’s still not enough details given. But who knows? Maybe they will reveal more announcements about the second season during that talk event with the three seiyuu…
