Kingdom fans, rejoice! NHK has just announced that in April, they will be broadcasting a new TV anime adaptation for Yasuhisa Hara’s Kingdom manga. Hara himself has also confirmed this, and has said that this new TV anime adaptation will be adapting the manga’s Alliance Arc. He also released this illustration to celebrate this 3rd TV anime as well:
Hara will be acting as supervisor for this new anime, and it will be having a completely new production staff. However, much of the cast from the two previous anime will be returning. This includes Masakazu Morita as Xin, Jun Fukuyama as Yin Zheng, and Rie Kugimiya as He Liao Diao.
The manga received a live-action movie adaptation earlier this year. It starred Kento Yamazaki as Xin, and it even screened internationally, including here in Singapore.
As for the TV anime, expect the staff to reveal more details in the days to come.
