Like most popular franchises, The Rising of the Shield Hero will also be getting its own 2.5D stage plat adaptation. And now, staff have finally released what Naofumi will look like in the play! Actor Yuuya Uyo will be playing him for this stage adaptation, and staff have released a new visual revealing him in costume:
Aside from Naofumi, the staff also announced the other actors, and they include:
- Carin Isobe as Raphtalia
- Yuuho Matsui (Gekidan Patch) as Ren Amaki
- Taiga Fukazawa as Itsuki Kawasumi
- Ryuuya Ishigami as Ake
- Kotori Kojima as Slave Trade
- r Erena Kamata as Raphtalia (young)
- Sarah Emi Bridcutt as Myne
- Atsushi Maruyama as Elhart I
- samu Ishizaka as Aultcray
Sarah Emi Bridcutt, who is playing Myne in the anime, is also playing her in the stage play as well, so expect fans to really put in the hate.
As for the play itself, ut will run at the Cool Japan Park Osaka TT Hall in Osaka from March 27 to 29. It will then head over to Tokyo’s heater Sun-mall from April 2-12, 2019. Satoshi Oogita is directing the play, with Kaori Moriyama writing the scripts. Meanwhile, Scissors Blitz is in-charge of planning and Production.
