Fujita’s Wotakoi: Love is Hard for Otaku manga and anime series is getting a live-action movie adaptation. And with that, the official Toho YouTube channel has released a new teaser for the new film. It also reveals three new cast members in Kento Kaku, Tsuyoshi Muro, and Jiro Sato.
The cast includes:
- Mitsuki Takahata as Narumi
- Kento Yamazaki as Hirotaka
- Nanao as Hanako
- Takumi Saitou as Kabakura
The movie was originally slated for later this year, but it was delayed. However, the staff have confirmed that it will premiere in February 7, 2020 instead. Toho will be distributing the movie in Japan, while the live-action Gintama movie’s Yuuichi Fukuda is at the helm as its director.
The movie follows Narumi, an office worker who hides the fact that she is a fujoshi. When she transfers into her new job, she runs into her childhood friend, Hirotaka, who proudly displays that he is a gamer. She also finds out that her senior, Kabakura, likes anime, and her other senior, Hanako, is a well known cosplayer. The manga received a very successful TV anime adaptation last year.
