Pokemon Sword and Shield finally gets its release next week. But before that, the Pokemon Company has released a brand new gameplay video previewing a few mechanics. This include the new ways to make your Pokemon stronger, as well as some more convenient additions.
Unlike previous games, trainers can now feed vitamins to their Pokemon for more than 10 times. They’re also adding Mint Candies which can change a Pokemon’s nature, as well as EXP candies which boost a Pokemon’s EXP. However, there will still be Rare Candies in the game as well. Other additions also include the fact that trainers can now access their Pokemon boxes to swap out their team anywhere. Parent Pokemon can now also pass Egg Moves during the breeding process as well.
They also released a new Overview trailer, which shows off a few new Pokemon, some new features, as well as gym battles:
The games will also introduce a new feature called “Max Raid Battles” which can allow up to four people to join in in a Pokemon battle. It works similarly to Pokemon GO’s raid battles basically. Aside from that, they’re also introducing “Wild Areas,” which are open areas between cities for trainers to explore, and there will be wild Pokemon moving about.
Pokemon Sword and Shield will be released for the Nintendo Switch globally on November 15.
