The Revue Starlight multimedia franchise recently held their “Revue Starlight 3rd StarLive ‘Starry Diamond'” concert event. And during that concert, they announced two new anime movies! The first one will be a brand new anime movie, while the second one will be a separate compilation film which premieres early summer 2020.
Unfortunately, they did not reveal any further information on any of the two movies. However, the concert did reveal new visuals for these new projects. From the look of things, the new original movie will be having something to do with the Tokyo Tower.
Sentai Film Works describes the anime’s story as:
After receiving a mysterious invitation to audition for a coveted spot with, Starlight, a popular musical revue troupe, star-struck contestants begin honing their talents and competing against each other for a chance of a lifetime. Among the hopefuls are childhood friends, Karen and Hikari, who once promised each other that they would take the stage together. With each contender working tirelessly hard to win, it’s the girls’ passionate dedication to their lifelong dream that’ll truly transform their performances as the curtains rise.
Expect the staff to reveal more details about these two movies in the days to come.
