Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba has been surging in sales since the TV anime aired. In fact, Koyoharu Gotouge’s dark fantasy manga became Japan’s overall top selling manga this year, according to Oricon, toppling One Piece’s 12-year reign. Oricon has now released the numbers, and here are the Top 10 highest selling manga titles for this year:

10 – That Time I Got Reincarnated as a Slime by Fuse and Taiki Kawakami (Estimated numbers sold: 3,414,482)

9 – Kaguya-sama: Love Is War by Aka Akasaka (Estimated numbers sold: 4,096,492)

8 – Haikyuu!! by Haruichi Furudate (Estimated numbers sold: 4,514,838)

7 – Attack on Titan by Hajime Isayama (Estimated numbers sold: 4,704,234)

6 – My Hero Academia by Kohei Horikoshi) (Estimated numbers sold: 5,047,574)

5 – The Quintessential Quintuplets by Negi Haruba (Estimated numbers sold: 5,895,000)

4 – The Promised Neverland by Kaiu Shirai (Estimated numbers sold: 7,454,745)

3 – Kingdom by Yasuhisa Hara (Estimated numbers sold: 7,661,361)

2 – One Piece by Eiichiro Oda (Estimated numbers sold: 10,134,232)

1 – Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba by Koyoharu Gotouge (Estimated numbers sold: 12,057,628)

These are the overall rankings, which they based on the series and not the individual volumes sold. As for the Individual volumes, One Piece took the Top 3 spots on that one, though they weren’t enough to take back first place in the overall rankings from the new top-selling shounen manga.
