Bandai Spirits has actually made a life-size statue of Izuku Midoriya, also known as Deku from My Hero Academia. They’re now going to display the statue over at Tower Records Shibuya, which will be holding a special My Hero Academia exhibit to celebrate the upcoming Heroes Rising movie. It will happen on December 20, 2019.
The new exhibit will feature stand-up panels, key animation panels, and new and upcoming figures of the anime’s characters. It will also have a special Ichiban Kuji lottery which fans can win a figure! As for the Deku statue itself, it will debut on December 25. Unfortunately, Bandai has confirmed that they have no plans on selling the statue.
Entrance to the Tower Records Shivuya exhibition itself won’t be free though, as tickets cost 500 yen. However, visitors get a free My Hero Academia character card featuring a random character from the anime, as well as a hero certification exam paper. And yes, it will also be selling new original merchandise from the franchise.
My Hero Academia the Movie -Heroes: Rising- will premiere in December 20, the same day that the exhibition will kick off. Mangaka Kouhei Horikoshi himself is supervising the movie, as well as handling the original character designs. It will have an original story as well.
