Last time, the live-action adaptation of Fujita’s Wotakoi: Love is Hard for Otaku teased that the movie will have a cosplay musical number. And now, Toho has just released a new trailer, and it it shows us more of that cosplay musical number. Evangelion and Shin Godzilla composer Shiro Sagisu produced that number just for the movie. Its title is “Issai Gassai Save the World”.
The cast includes:
- Mitsuki Takahata as Narumi
- Kento Yamazaki as Hirotaka
- Nanao as Hanako
- Takumi Saitou as Kabakura
The movie was originally slated for later this year, but it was delayed. However, the staff have confirmed that it will premiere in February 7, 2020 instead. Toho will be distributing the movie in Japan, while the live-action Gintama movie’s Yuuichi Fukuda is at the helm as its director.
The movie follows Narumi, an office worker who hides the fact that she is a fujoshi. When she transfers into her new job, she runs into her childhood friend, Hirotaka, who proudly displays that he is a gamer. She also finds out that her senior, Kabakura, likes anime, and her other senior, Hanako, is a well known cosplayer. The manga received a very successful TV anime adaptation last year.
