The official website for the isekai anime, Ascendance of Bookworm, has announced that the anime will be continuing after this current season ends. This second cour for the TV anime will premiere in Spring 2020, and they even revealed a key visual for the series:
And not only that, but the website also revealed that the first part will be having 14 episodes. They will air two episodes on December 25, 2019, and it will serve as the first season’s Episodes 13 and 14. Now that is certainly a Christmas gift for many of us.
Muse Asia is now streaming the anime via YouTube for Southeast Asia. Fans can now watch the anime’s first cour for free right here in the region.
Here’s how they describe the anime’s story:
A certain college girl who’s loved books ever since she was a little girl dies in an accident and is reborn in another world she knows nothing about. She is now Maine, the sickly five-year-old daughter of a poor soldier. To make things worse, the world she’s been reborn in has a very low literacy rate and books mostly don’t exist. She’d have to pay an enormous amounts of money to buy one. Maine resolves herself: If there aren’t any books, she’ll just have to make them! Her goal is to become a librarian. This story begins with her quest to make books so she can live surrounded by them! Dive into this biblio-fantasy written for book lovers and bookworms!
Expect the staff to reveal more details about the anime in the days to come.
