The report stated that they will Netflix will stream Ghibli films in Asia, South America, and Europe. This means that the countries here in Southeast Asia, namely Singapore, Philippines, Malaysia, Thailand, and Indonesia, are all included. Studio Ghibli struck a deal with HBO Max to bring their movies to the Unites States and Canada. This may be the reason why people won’t be able to watch Ghibli movies there. As for Japan… well, it looks like the legendary animation studio is just sticking to the home video releases.

So who is excited? Because we surely are! Thanks Netflix!
