A motorcycle accident happened in Shuto Expressway’s Haneda Route in Tokyo’s Oota Ward at 9:00 am JST last 24th February. There was only one victim, and he passed away at the hospital due to head injuries. He was identified as Junichi Goto, a seiyuu best known for voicing Inferno Cop and appearing in various Studio Trigger anime.

Medics rushed him to a nearby hospital, but pronounced him dead later. He was 40. Police are still investigating the cause of the accident which took Goto’s life.

The Tokyo Metropolitan Police’s Expressway Patrol reported that a male driver called in the incident, saying that there was a motorcycle stuck to the side wall. The driver also reported that the motorcycle passed him on his right side and was ahead of him when it struck the side wall.

He also voiced Daigo in Ninja Slayer From Animation, Shigi Taishiji in Ikki Tousen: Xtreme Factor, and again as Inferno Cop in Space Patrol Luluco. He also had guest appearances in SSSS.Gridman and other Trigger anime. May he rest in peace.
