After delaying an episode of A Certain Scientific Railgun T and wreaking havoc across Asia, the Corona Virus strikes again. This time, the organizers of the so-called “Japan’s Biggest Cosplay Event,” the Nippombashi Street Festa, have cancelled the event. This is also due to the COVID-19 coronavirus outbreak.

For those who already bought wcosplayer wristbands or photographer IDs, the event’s official website will be revealing more details on how they can refund soon. But not everything is cancelled though, as the Animate Osaka Nippombashi store’s will still push through, as will a talk show with seiyuu Yuki Nakashima.

The Nippombashi Street Festa is an annual cosplay parade that happens n Nippombashi’s Den Den Town are. The 16th annual edition of the event was supposed to happen this year on March 15. Unfortunately, it looks like that is not happening at all. Around 200,000 people attend the event, which is a celebration of cosplay, manga, anime, games, and western comics.
