Netflix has been aiming to produce even more anime content for the past few years. Their original content right now includes some pretty big titles, such as Violet Evergarden, Kakegurui, Carole & Tuesday, and Fate/Apocrypha. And now, they want to produce even more, so they’re teaming up with some renowned Japanese creators. These include CLAMP (Cardcaptor Sakura), Shin Kibayashi (The Kindaichi Case Files), Yasuo Ohtagaki (Mobile Suit Gundam Thunderbolt), Otsuichi (film director for Goth and Stare), novelist Tow Ubukata (Psycho-Pass 2 and 3), and mangaka Mari Yamazaki (Thermae Romae).

These partnerships aim to develop new anime projects which Netflix will be streaming to 190 countries and territories around the world. In fact, CLAMP has now begun working on an unannounced project and has designed 20 characters already. Meanwhile, Kibayashi is now also penning scripts for another unannounced project already.
As of now, there’s still no further information on which titles we will be seeing as part of these partnerships. Expect Netflix to reveal more details in the days to come.
