Koushi Tachibana’s Date A Live light novel series will be entering an end, as the series’ final volume will get its release in a couple of days. However, it will also enter a new beginning, as the staff announced a fourth season to its TV anime adaptation! They even released a brand new key visual for this new TV anime:
Unfortunately, the staff did not reveal any further information about this new season. But this won’t be the only new Date A Live anime that will be happening in the future. Last year, Kadokawa also announced that the Date A Live Fragment: Date A Bullet spin-off novels are also getting an anime adaptation. However, this will be a separate project from the anime’s fourth season, as the spin-off focuses on Kurumi.
As for the light novels’ finale, the 22nd and final volume will ship out on March 19th. And to commemorate the release, the JR Machida Station in Machida, Tokyo, the story’s setting, will hang 10 advertisement posters. TheTachibana launched the light novels in 2011 and now has six million copies in print.
