After the success of Hayate the Combat Butler and Seiyuu’s Life, another manga by Kenjiro Hata is getting a TV anime! This new anime will be adapting his latest manga, Fly Me To The Moon, or Tonikaku Kawaii. It will premiere in October, and they even revealed a new key visual:
The anime follows a boy named Nasa who falls in love with a cute girl named Tsukasa during his High School Entrance Exams. He confesses to her but she says that she’ll only go out with him if they get married. And a few years later, on his 18th birthday, Tsukasa reappears and they get married. The manga follows their newly-wed life.
Hata launched the manga in 2018, which is the same year he got married to his Seiyuu Life co-mangaka and actual seiyuu, Masami Asano. No doubt the mangaka was still high on his married life when he decided to write this, but it was clearly popular enough to get a TV anime.
Unfortunately, aside from its visual and October release, we still don’t know much about this new anime’s story. However, expect the staff to reveal more details in the days to come.
