Looks like somebody is really gonna lose the war, as the upcoming second season of Kaguya-sama: Love is War has now released a new PV. And from the looks of things, Kaguya has a new love rival, and somebody might actually lose the war and confess! The video also previews Haruka Fukuhara’s theme song, “Kaze ni Fukarete”.

The staff previously released a new visual which introduces us to two new characters. The one that Chika is hugging is Miko Iino, voiced by Miyu Tomita. Meanwhile, the glasses girl is Kobachi Osaragi, voiced by Rina Hidaka. The anime itself will premiere on April 11, 2020.

Much of the staff and cast will be returning for the second season as well. For the staff, this includes director Mamoru Hatakeyama, character designer Yuuko Yahiro, and of course, A-1 Pictures. Meanwhile, the returning cast includes Aoi Koga as Kaguya Shinomiya, Makoto Furukawa as Miyuki Shirogane, Konomi Kohara as Chika Fujiwara, and Ryouta Suzuki as Yuu Ishigami.

Here’s how Viz Media describes the anime’s story:

Kaguya Shinomiya and Miyuki Shirogane are two geniuses who stand atop their prestigious academy’s student council, making them the elite among elite. But it’s lonely at the top and each has fallen for the other. There’s just one huge problem standing in the way of lovey-dovey bliss—they’re both too prideful to be the first to confess their romantic feelings and thus become the “loser” in the competition of love! And so begins their daily schemes to force the other to confess first!
