Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Taiba had a stellar year in 2019. And around one year after its anime debuted and changed the anime landscape, its source manga finally ended. The 24th issue of this year’s Weekly Shounen Jump magazine contained that very final chapter of Koyoharu Gotouge’s best-selling manga.

But that’s not all, because the magazine also announced that a new spin-off series is now in the works. Ryouji Hirano will be the mangaka for this spin-off, and its title is Kimetsu no Yaiba: Rengoku Gaiden. As the title suggests, it will focus on the flame Hashira, Kyoujurou Rengoku. It’s also quite fitting, as the upcoming Mugen Train film will focus on that character.

As we previously reported, the Mugen Train film is coming to Southeast Asia. It will hit Singapore, Philippines, Malaysia, Indonesia, Brunei, and others. As for the film itself, Haruo Sotozaki will be returning to direct the sequel movie, as well as character designer Akira Matsushima. And yes, ufotable is once again animating it, so expect some beautiful animation sequences! As for the cast, the core main cast will be returning for the film.

So, what are your favourite Kimetsu no Yaiba moments?
