After the runaway success of a Japanese adaptation of a Korean work called Tower of God, it looks like Japan is adapting more Korean works into anime. This time, South Korean developer Vespa’s King’s Raid mobile RPG is the one getting the anime adaptation. Its title is King’s Raid: Ishi o Tsugumono-tachi, and they even released an official teaser PV:
OLM (Pokemon) and Sunrise Beyond (Gundam Build Divers Re:RISE) are working together to priduce the animation, Meanwhile, Makoto Hoshino will be directing the anime. Its cast will include:
- Kaito Ishikawa as Kasel
- Ai Kakuma as Frey
- Ari Ozawa as Cleo
- Kengo Kawanishi as Roi
The anime will follow a squire named Kasel, who is living in peaceful times as it is set a century after King Kairu of Orvelia defeated the demon king Angumundo. However, it seems tthat demons are re-appearing lately and Kasel finds out his destiny to become the Chosen Warrior of the Holy Sword Aea. He then sets out on his own adventure to fulfill that destiny.
So far, the staff have not revealed any information on its release window yet. But do expect them to make more announcements about this new anime in the days to come.
