After its rather expected COVID-19 delay, we now have a new release date for the third and final Fate/Stay Night: Heaven’s Feel movie. Its official Twitter page has announced that Fate/stay night: Heaven’s Feel III. spring song will now premiere on August 15, 2020.
The movie was originally scheduled for March 26, but was rescheduled for April 25. And then, the Coronavirus pandemic hit Japan hard, forcing distributors to postpone the movie indefinitely. But now, we know that it will now premiere in August 15. Unfortunately, the staff also warned people that the release date is still subject to change depending on the COVID-19 situation. They also urged people to check theatre websites for their COVID-19 countermeasures.
Tomonori Sudou is returning from the first two films to direct this new one as well.The cast from the previous films are also returning to reprise their roles. And much like the previous Fate/Stay Night: Heaven’s Feel films, it will tell the story of Sakura Matoh’s route from the original Fate/Stay Night visual novel.
The two previous movies in this trilogy, presage flower and lost butterfly had international screenings, including Southeast Asia. Expect the staff to reveal more details about these international release, particularly its release here in Southeast Asia, very soon.
