The third season of Log Horizon, officially titled Log Horizon: Fall of the Round Table, is one of 2020’s most anticipated anime. Unfortunately, NHK has now announced that the anime will be delayed. It was originally supposed to premiere in October 2020. However, NHK has now announced that it will premiere in January 2021 instead.
NHK did confirm that the new season will have 12 episodes, with the cast from the first two seasons reprising their roles. These include Takuma Terashima as Shiroe, Tomoaki Maeno as Naotsugu, Jouji Nakata as Nyanta, and Emiri Katou as Akatsuki. Shinji Ishihira is also directing the new season at Studio DEEN. They also revealed a brand new key visual for the upcoming anime as well:
This will be the first time that Log Horizon has returned to having a TV anime since author Mamare Tounowas charged with Tax Evasion in 2015. As of now, there’s not much word on this new season’s other details. However, do expect the staff to reveal more details in the days to come.
