The 32nd issue of Weekly Shounen Jump magazine has a bittersweet announcement for all you Haikyuu!! fans out there. They have revealed that Haruichi Furudate’s popular volleyball manga will be coming to an end with its final volume in the next issue of Weekly Shounen Jump, which is the combined 33rd/34th issue. They will release it on July 20, 2020 in Japan.
Last week, the Shounen Jump has announced that the manga has entered its climax. This week’s issue featured colour pages, as well as being featured in the magazine’s cover.
The manga entered the final arc back in October 2019. It even went through a timeskip of its own as it entered the final arc, which began with Chapter 370.
Furudate launched the manga back in 2011, and has since become one of the most popular sports manga in Japan today. The series even made the sport of volleyball much more popular. It inspired other media as well, including the TV anime adaptation, OVAs, and live-action stage plays.
