As for the second sequel novel, New・The Irregular at Magic High School Maidens of Cygnus. It’s also set after Tatsuya’s graduation, but will instead follow students at the high school after Tatsuya and the others have already left.
As for the TV anime, a second season is now in the works, with 8-bit animating it. It was supposed to premiere in July 2020, but COVID-19 forced the staff to reschedule the anime for October. Risako Yoshida is returning from The Irregular at Magic High School The Movie: The Girl Who Summons the Stars movie to direct the TV anime. They also confirmed that Yuuichi Nakamura is returning as Tatsuya Shiba, as well as Saori Hayami as Miyuki Shiba, and Youko Hikasa as Angelina Kudou Shields. This new season will adapt the Visitor Arc, which covers volumes 9-11 from the novels.
