The COVID-19 pandemic may have cancelled COMIC CON, but the biggest geek convention on Earth still went through with some online panels. One of these COMIC CON @ HOME panel discussions includes one from Viz Media, and it involves horror maestro Junji Ito. During the panel, the legendary horror mangaka admitted that iconic video game designer Hideo Kojima himself asked him to collaborate on a planned horror video game.

Unfortunately, the Tomie mangaka admitted that he isn’t working on any video game projects at this time, as he is still in talks with Kojima. Ito says that there’s no details yet on the outcome of his talks with the famed video game designer. In other words, they’re still talking about it and there’s a chance that nothing might happen. But then again, if that pushes through, be assured that fans would go wild.

As for Kojima, he is now working on a new project, and The Walking Dead actor Norman Reedus has confirmed he is now in talks with Kojima. For now though, nothing is set on stone just yet.
