Knights of Sidonia is back! Polygon Films has now announced that Tsutomu Nihei’s Knights of Sidonia is getting an anime movie adaptation. This feature-length anime film will open in 2021 and it will feature an all-new story. They also released a new trailer for the movie as well.

Thie movie will feature a different story from the manga, though Nihei himself will be supervising the story. As for the video, it features the new theme song, “Utsusemi” by CAPSULE.

Meanwhile, the staff also released a new teaser visual for the upcoming anime movie:

Hiroyuki Seshita is returning in the movie, but this time, he’s gonna serve as chief director. Meanwhile, Tadahiro Yoshihira will now weve as the movie’s director. Most of the cast and staff will be returning for the movie as well. Expect the staff to reveal more details about the movie in the days to come.

As for the TV anime, it is now streaming on Netflix.
