They’re baaaaaaaaaaaaack! That’s right folks, the Matsuno sextuplets return for the third season of the ever-popular Mr. Osomatsu TV anime. This new season will premiere in October, with TV Tokyo broadcasting it in Japan. Meanwhile, the staff released a new video to announce that the third season is indeed happening:
All six seiyuu voicing the sextuplets will return. They include:
- Takahiro Sakurai as Osomatsu
- Daisuke Ono as Juushimatsu
- Hiroshi Kamiya as Choromatsu
- Jun Fukuyama as Ichimatsu
- Miyu Irino as Todomatsu
- Yuuichi Nakamura as Karamatsu
The staff also released a new teaser visual for this third season as well. New director Eiji Abiko drew the visual himself.
Abiko will be replacing Naoyuki Asano at the helm of the project. And much like previous seasons, Studio Pierrot will once again be animating the series. Expect the staff to reveal more details about the anime in the days to come.
Mr. Osomatsu follows the Matsuno Sextuplets as adults. It is based on the late Fujio Akatsuka’s original Osomatsu-kun manga, which features the Matsuno siblings as kids, and are all in love with the same girl. The original manga ran from 1962-1969, and received several TV anime adaptations in the 60’s and 80’s.
