Yes folks, this is it! NTV has announced that Kousuke Oono’s The Way of the Househusband is indeed getting a live-action TV show. It will premiere in October, and will air every Sunday at around 10:30 pm JST. It will star Hiroshi Tamaki as the one and only Tatsu, a former feared Yakuza member who is now a house husband.
NTV has also confirmed that TouichRutou will be directing the TV series. Meanwhile, Uda Manabu will be writing the scripts. Expect the staff to announce more details about this new live-action TV adaptation in the days to come.
Kousuke Oono’s The Way of the Househusband follows the daily life of Tatsu, who gave up his life of crime as a Yakuza enforcer to live with Miku. The manga follows him in his day to day activities, from fighting dirt and grime around their apartment, to the daily battles in getting those sale items at the grocery. The manga previously featured a live-action ad featuring seiyuu Kenjiro Tsuda as Tatsu.
