Talent agency, 81 Produce, has some bad news for anime fans out there, According to s statement via their official website, legendary seiyuu Toshihiko Seki has tested positive for COVID-19. He is currently in stable condition, but has been hospitalized.

According to Seki’s talent agency, he started having a fever on the evening of July 31st. He then went to the hospital on the next day, and then he tested positive for the pandemic that’s currently wreaking havoc across the globe. How he contracted COVID-19 is still unknown, but the agency has stated that they’re helping with contact tracing to find the infection’s source.

The seiyuu gained notariety through various roles, including voicing for Muzan Kibutsuji in Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba, Senketsu in Kill la Kill, Iruka Umino in Naruto, Mousse in Ranma 1/2, and many more. He is also quite well known to many Gundam fans, having voiced both Duo Maxwell in Gundam Wing and Rau Le Cruset in Gundam SEED.
