Well, it looks like Yumeko is back! It was announced that Homura Kawamoto and Tohru Naomura’s Kakegurui – Compulsive Gambler manga is getting a new live-action movie. It will serve as a sequel to the first one, and its tentative title is Eiga Kakegurui Part2. The live-action AnoHana movie’s Minami Hamabe will be reprising her role as Yumeko Jabami in the movie. Much of the cast will also be reprising their roles as well.
The announcement also confirmed that Tsutomu Hanabusa will be returning at the helm of the movie as director. He will also be writing the screenplay alongside Minato Takano. As for the movie itself, it will premiere in Japan in 2021.
These movies are part of the live-action Kakegurui series. Netflix is now streaming it, as well as the first movie and anime adaptation. Here’s how they describe the live-action’s story:
