Weekly Shounen Jump magazine’s 38th issue has brought us some news on the anime adaptation of Bleach creator Tite Kubo’s Burn The Witch manga. According to the magazine, it will be getting event screenings around Japan starting October 2, 2020. On that same date, Amazon Prime Video and Hikari TV will also be streaming the anime in Japan. They also confirmed it will be streamed worldwide, but did not specify which services will stream the anime outside of Japan.
According to the magazine, the streamed version will be “an edited version where the content will be a little different from the version that will screen in Japanese theaters”. They also revealed that more cast members, and they include:
- Shimba Tsuchiya as Balgo Parks
- Hiroaki Hirata as Chief
- Rie Hikisaka as Osushi-chan
They will join Asami Tano as Ninny Spangcole and Yuina Yamada as Noel Niihashi. The staff also released a new PV and Key visual for the upcoming anime as well:
Tatsurou Kawano is directing the anime over at Studio Colorido, with team Yamahitsuji co-producing it. Kubo initially released the original manga as a one-shot in 2018, and will finally begin serialization in Weekly Shounen Jump today. It is slated to run for four chapters.
