Well, it looks like we’re getting more of Bleach mangaka Tite Kubo’s Burn The Witch manga. Issue #41 of Weekly Shounen Jump magazine has announced that Kubo himself is now working on its sequel, which will serve as “Season 2” for the manga. Jump revealed that it is now “Coming Soon”.
The manga will also have an anime movie coming up. It will first be getting event screenings around Japan starting October 2, 2020. On that same date, Amazon Prime Video and Hikari TV will also be streaming the anime in Japan. The streamed version will be “an edited version where the content will be a little different from the version that will screen in Japanese theaters”. They also revealed that more cast members, and they include:
- Shimba Tsuchiya as Balgo Parks
- Hiroaki Hirata as Chief
- Rie Hikisaka as Osushi-chan
Tatsurou Kawano is directing the anime over at Studio Colorido, with team Yamahitsuji co-producing it. Kubo initially released the original manga as a one-shot in 2018, and will finally begin serialization in Weekly Shounen Jump today. It is slated to run for four chapters.
