After months of waiting, Sony finally did their big PlayStation 5 Showcase livestream earlier this morning, And there, they made many huge announcements, including when it will drop, which will be on November 12, 2020. This will be for the United States, Japan, Canada, Mexico, Australia, New Zealand, and South Korea. It will then hit the rest of the world, except China, on November 19, 2020. Sony is still “exploring” their options on when they will release the console in CHina.

But how much will it cost?  Well, the PlayStation 5 has two versions, and they are the normal version and the Digital Edition. The Normal PS5 will cost US$499, while the Digital Edition will cost US$399. The digital edition can only run digital games, as it will not have a slot for a disc. Both versions will come with the new Dual Sense Controller.

The new release dates reflect all previous PlayStation releases, which are usually within the fourth quarter of the year. Expect them to announce more games fore the new console soon.
