Well, we’re getting a new isekai anime… again. And this time, they’re adapting Kei Azumi’s Tsukimichi -Moonlit Fantasy- novel series, Tsukimichi -Moonlit Fantasy- into a TV anime. It will premiere in 2021 via various TV channels in Japan, including Tokyo MX, MBS, and NTV. They even released a new PV for the anime as well:
They also revealed the anime’s main cast members, and they are:
- Natsuki Hanae as Makoto
- Ayane Sakura as Tomoe
- Akari Kitou as Mio
They also released a brand new key visual for the upcoming anime series as well:
Fairy Tail and Log Horizon anime director Shinji Ishihira will be at the helm of the project, with C2C producing the animation. Meanwhile, Yukie Suzuki handling character designs while Kenta Ihara will be writing the scripts.
They describe the novels as an “alternate-world social reform fantasy” story. It focuses on a high school boy named Makoto who gets summoned into an alternate world. Unfortunately, the goddess rejects him because she thinks he is ugly and banishes him to the wilderness. In his travels in the wilds, Makoto encounters many non-humans, while also gaining new powers. However, he manages to survive by getting two new companions in Tomoe and Mio, who agree to go with him in his journey.
