The King of Monsters is back, and he’s getting a new anime. This time, Netflix is teaming up with two famous anime studios in BONES and Orange for the new Godzilla Singular Point anime series. The streaming service is planning to stream the new series globally starting 2021. They even released two new visuals as well:

Doraemon the Movie 2017: Great Adventure in the Antarctic Kachi Kochi’s Atsushi Takahashi will be directing the anime. Meanwhile, famous Japanese science-fiction novelist Toh Enjoe will be working on his first TV anime. As for the designs, Kazue Kato will be the character designer for those puny humans, while legendary animator Eiji Yamamori, who has worked on various Studio Ghibli movies like Princess Mononoke and Spirited Away, will be designing the kaijuu. And as mentioned above, BONES (My Hero Academia) and Orange (BEASTARS) will be co-producing the animation.

And it looks like 2021 will be a big year indeed for the King of the Monsters. Not only is Godzilla getting a new anime, but Legendary is also producing his much awaited showdown with that other famous kaijuu, King Kong in Godzilla vs. Kong. The Hollywood live-action monster mash is scheduled to happen in May 21, 2021. Expect Netflix to announce more details about the anime in the days to come.
