Rohan Kishibe will be starring in his own live-action mini-series! NHK has announced that Hirohiko Araki’s Thus Spoke Kishibe Rohan Jojo spin-off manga will get its own 3-episode live-action adaptation. Issei Takahashi will be playing the TV show’s titular mangaka. and NHK has already revealed him in costume as Rohan!
They also revealed other cast members as well. Joining Takahashi will be:
- Marie Iitoyo as Kyoka Izumi
- Fuuga Shibazaki as Ikkyuu
- Mirai Moriyama as Juugo Shishi
- Kumi Takiuchi as Mai Katahira
- Tomoya Nakamura as Tarō Hirai
NHK General channel will be airing the anime in Japan from December 28-30, 2020 at 10:00 pm JST. The mini-series’ first episode will adapt the manga’s Fugou Mura story, while the second episode will adapt the Kushagara short story from the spin-off novels. Finally, the third episode will feature an original story titled D.N.A.
Kazutaka Watanabe will be directing the TV series, and he will be working with JoJo’s Bizarre Adventure anime writer Yasuko Kobayashi, who will be handling the scripts.
