The Japanese Pokemon YouTube channel has now released a brand new teaser video for the upcoming Pokemon The Movie: Koko anime film. It will serve as the 23rd movie in the Pokemon franchise. The video previews “Show Window,” which is one of the six songs that Taiiku Okazaki produced for the anime.
This new movie will have an original story set in Okoya Forest. It is a Pokemon sanctuary, and outsiders are forbidden from entering it. There, Ash and Pikachu encounter a boy named Koko, a wild child raised by the mythical Pokemon Zarude. Its theme will be “Humans raised by Pokemon,” much like Tarzan’s and The Jungle Book’s “Human raised by animals” story.
OLM will once again be producing the animation, just like they did for previous Pokemon films and TV anime. Tetsuo Yajima, who previously directed Pokemon The Movie: Power of Us, will be at the helm of the anime as well. It will premiere in Japan on Christmas day, December 25, 2020.
