That Time I Got Reincarnated as a Slime Season 2 is one of 2021’s most anticipated anime. And now, Crunchyroll, which is streaming the anime out west, has released a new key visual for the upcoming anime. It teases Rimuru and other main characters, as well as the upcoming season’s main antagonist:
A previous livestream revealed that the anime will run for two cours, which will be split between October 2020 and April 2021. Unfortunately, the COVID-19 pandemic pushed the first cour back, and it will now premiere on January 12, 2021 in Japan. They are also moving the second cour from April to Summer 2021. However, the spin-off anime, The Slime Diaries, will be making its premiere in April 2021, in between the two cours of the main anime’s second season.
In Southeast Asia, Netflix is now streaming the second season. Here is how Crunchyroll describes the anime’s story:
Corporate worker Mikami Satoru is stabbed by a random killer, and is reborn to an alternate world. But he turns out to be reborn a slime! Thrown into this new world with the name Rimuru, he begins his quest to create a world that’s welcoming to all races.
