If My Favorite Pop Idol Made it to the Budokan, I Would Die is getting a Live-Action adaptation
Auri Hirao’s Oshi ga Budoukan Ittekuretara Shinu (If My Favorite Pop Idol Made it to the Budokan, I Would Die) manga has certainly gotten a huge spotlight this year thanks to a hilarious and heartwarming TV anime adaptation, which premiered last January 2020. And now, it seems that it’s getting a live-action adaptation as well! The manga’s Volume 7 release made the big announcement, though it did not reveal the format.
We still don’t know much about the live-action adaptation, and whether it will be a TV series or movie. But do expect them to announce more details, including cast, staff, and release window, in the days to come.
The manga follows a woman nicknamed “Eripyo,” who is absolutely fanatical about the least popular member of a lesser-known idol group known as Cham Jam. And while she’s the only Maina stan out there, that does not stop her from cheering on her favourite idol of all.
