Unfortunately, they have not yet revealed any further details for the movie yet. But do expect Toei Animation to announce more details in the days to come, so stay tuned.
The original manga ran from 1990 to 1996 and had 31 volumes in total. It would then go on to receive a hit TV anime adaptation in 1993, as well as four sequel anime movies. This would be the latest anime for the franchise.
Slam Dunk follows former delinquent Hanamichi Sakuragi, who enrolls into Shohoku High School. He falls in love with a girl named Haruko who loves basketball. Trying to impress her, the tall hanamichi decides to join the basketball team.
