After the box office success of the Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba TV anime, as well as the Mugen Train movie, Tanjirou, Nezuko, and the rest of the gang are back! They are returning for a second season, which the staff have now announced is happening later this year! This new 2021 anime will be adapting the manga’s Entertainment District Arc, which takes place right after Mugen Train. They also released a brand new teaser visual for the upcoming second season as well:
This new arc will take place at the Yoshiwara red-light district. It will center on Tengen Uzui, the sound Hashira, who is looking for his missing wives in Yoshiwara. The staff also released a new PV for the anime, but it’s only available for Japan.
The staff also launched a new official website for the anime as well. It features the new PV and visual, as well as confirms that much of the cast are reprising their roles. ufotable will also be animating this new season, much like the TV anime and movie.
