Hiro Mashima’s third manga to get a TV anime adaptation is his latest one, Eden’s Zero. And now, Netflix has released a new PV for the upcoming science fiction anime. It features new footage, as well as teases the anime’s OP theme song, “Eden through the rough” by Takanori Nishikawa (T.M. Revolution). Meanwhile, CHICO with Honeyworks will be performing the ED theme song titled “Bouken no Vlog”.
Netflix also announced that they will also be streaming the anime sometime later this year. As for the anime itself, it will premiere in Japan on April 11 at 12:55 a.m. via NTV.
As previously mentioned, the main cast includes:
- Takuma Terashima as Shiki Granbell
- Mikako Komatsu as Rebecca Bluegarden
- Rie Kugimiya as Happy
Shinji Ishihara, who previously directed the Fairy Tail anime, will be serving as chief director, with former Fairy Tail episode director Yuushi Suzuki directing. J.C. Staff will be animating this new project, with Mitsutaka Hirota writing the scripts, while Yurika Sako us serving as character designer.

At Granbell Kingdom, an abandoned amusement park, Shiki has lived his entire life among machines. But one day, Rebecca and her cat companion Happy appear at the park’s front gates. Little do these newcomers know that this is the first human contact Granbell has had in a hundred years! As Shiki stumbles his way into making new friends, his former neighbors stir at an opportunity for a robo-rebellion…And when his old homeland becomes too dangerous, Shiki must join Rebecca and Happy on their spaceship and escape into the boundless cosmos.
